We have to destroy the idea that women need a reason to have an abortion outside of “im pregnant and i dont want to be”
So often i hear “im only okay with abortion if she has been raped or shell die if she gives birth, other than that she should have to have a baby” and thats not fucking okay
A woman should not have to be in a life-threatening situation for people to give her the basic human right of choosing what happens to her body. A woman should not have to suffer in some way to get that choice.
If you say youre pro-choice, you cant be pro-choice sometimes, you cant support womens rights “sometimes”, thats not enough anymore.
We have to erase the idea that a woman needs to give people a “good enough reason” as to why she should get to choose what happens to her body.
And we also have to destroy the idea that we are entitled to an explanation, cause we are not. Her body is not our business, a woman should not have to give out her life story for the chance at getting basic rights.
